I've always been a fan of the classic pilot watch and have owned a few over the years but nearly always found something lacking--too thin, narrow lugs, poor luminosity, too much money, etc.   So, almost 4 years ago I had the crazy thought, "Why not design your own watch?"  Made perfect sense (to me at least) at the time and I even went so far as to have a couple of prototypes built up.  While the prototypes were nice, they weren't exactly what I wanted so I shelved the idea. 

Then in late 2010, I resurrected the idea and what you see here is the result.  I'm very proud to introduce the GSD-1.   Powered by the venerable Swiss 6497 manual wind mov't, superior legibility day or night thanks the simple dial layout and C1 Superluminova, and fantastic wrist presence thanks to a robust case with 24mm lugs.  You're going to love this watch.  On to the specs:

Case:  316l Stainless Steel, your choice of finishes--Brushed with Polished Bezel, Full Polished, PVD coated, Antique PVD, or Bead Blasted. 46mm wide, 56mm lug to lug, 24mm lug width, 15mm thick
